In Nursery this week we have enjoyed a visit from a dental health practitioner! She brought along some fun puppets and we learned about how to look after our teeth. Then we dressed up as dentists and examined Henry the Horse’s teeth in the dentist’s chair! We also enjoyed practising using toothpaste and brushes to clean big pictures of teeth!

We have also been finishing off our month-long project on the music of Gustav Holst about the planets. We have collaged plates in red colours to represent the anger of Mars and practised writing the names Venus and Mars at the writing table.

In Maths we have been practising counting in our Kagan pairs and finding out about what is meant by the SAME. We are also enjoying our daily exercise session “Shake Your Sillies”.

We have also been exploring the ice outside on the table and grass. The children have been using tools to see how they can break the ice. They used a range of tools including a plastic hammer and a log of wood.
