You may have seen on the news about lateral flow testing being conducted by parents and adults at home. If this is something you would like to do, please see the latest advice below on how to obtain your lateral flow kits.

Asymptomatic testing information for parents and adults in households with children at school or college

NHS Test and Trace announced earlier this week, that all adults in households with school and college age children without symptoms can now access regular rapid coronavirus (COVID-19) testing.
Test kits can either be collected or ordered online, as set out below. You should not give test kits to parents, carers or household members and should not order more test kits for this purpose.

The school does not have lateral flow tests for pupil use but parents can request them from:

Collect Test Kits

You can collect 2 packs of home test kits at a local collection point. each pack contains 7 tests.

Anyone 18 or over can collect. You can check online if the location is busy before you go.

Find your nearest home test kit collection site

Order Home Test Kits Online

If you cannot get tested at your workplace, or unable to go to a test site or collect test kits, you can order a home test kit online.

Do not order online if you can get a test through other methods. This frees up home delivery for those who need it most.

Order rapid lateral flow tests

You can also request these kits by telephoning 119 if you are unable to use the internet.

I would recommend all parents request these kits so that they are ready in the home for use should you need them. This will limit the disruption to your routine but provide peace of mind for all parents that children are not attending school with the virus.

We need every single parent to help us in our efforts to keep our school COVID free and open to all children.

The school risk assessments are available on the website (link below) and outline the actions being taken in school to reduce the risk of the virus spreading.

I know it can be inconvenient to have to keep your child at home when we
are just returning but a short period at home for a child to be tested may prevent 32 children plus staff having to stay at home for 10 days. It may also prevent serious illness or death for a family member.
