What do the governors do?

At Ryders Green Primary school the governors have a wide range of duties and powers along with the responsibility for the conduct of the school. They support us in helping us achieve and promote the high standards of education for all pupils in their one chance. They play a role in setting the targets for the children, supporting and monitoring the curriculum, ensuring that the environment is safe, managing finances and appointing new members of staff to our school along with reviewing pay and performance. The governors at Ryders Green have a part in every element of the day to day running of our school.
